“Healing the broken bond between our young and nature—is in our self-interest, not only because aesthetics or justice demands it, but also because our mental, physical, and spiritual health depends upon it.” Richard Louv, Last Child In the Woods
Heeding the advice of Richard Louv, we encourage the child to return to nature, to the inspiration of the garden. For this special week, the garden becomes our laboratory of wonder and art exploration. We will build structures using materials like bamboo and willow, to create places we imagine. We will draw what we see in the garden and go on walking field tours to journal local visual finds.
Located in the South Tabor Neighborhood, The Art Garage Is surrounded by large trees, shrubs and a big garden.
