A class from Atkinson Elementary visited the garden. There they found a large pumpkin and estimated its weight between 600 and 750 pounds. Here it is decorated and ready for the pumpkin parade.
This poem was written by fifth grade student Arthur after the visit to the garden.
The Wonders of Your Garden
Oh the wonders of your garden
from the ground to the tallest flower
reaching up through the sky
getting taller hour by hour.
Oh the wonders of your garden
from the pumpkin to the trees
makes my heart start hummin'
like a swarm of buzzin' bees.
Oh the wonders of your garden
Oh the wonders of your garden
I cannot stop hummin'
Oh the wonders of your garden.
